Tom Brady Names the Best Team in the NFL After Week 3 Without Hesitation

Week 3 of the NFL season delivered plenty of intrigue and some major upsets, most notably the Cleveland Browns defeating the Green Bay Packers.

With several teams suffering tough losses, NFL legend and Fox Sports analyst Tom Brady made some adjustments to his weekly top 10 power rankings. His rule of thumb remains that to crack the top five—at least for now—a team must be undefeated.

Brady ranked No. 10 through No. 6 as the Los Angeles Rams, Washington Commanders, Green Bay Packers, Detroit Lions, and the Indianapolis Colts, the only unbeaten team outside the top five.

In the top five, he placed the San Francisco 49ers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Los Angeles Chargers, and kept his top two unchanged from Week 2: the Buffalo Bills at No. 2 and the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles at No. 1.

"And still on top of the pile, the Eagles. Who all the back from 26-7 at home in Philly… look, it’s not 28-3, but it’s still pretty impressive. We might have a shake-up coming next Sunday when I’m in Tampa. Bucs-Eagles, Week 4 on Fox. America’s Game of the Week. See you in Tampa."

Fans reacted to Brady's Week 4 rankings:

"Colts are undefeated and they deserve to be top 5," a fan said.

Someone else added, "That’s 3 straight weeks Go Birds ! Tom knows who run this league."

Another person wrote, "i’m not gonna lie GOAT this list is [explicit] horrid."

"Worse than an AP poll voter," one more fan commented.

As Tom Brady noted, Week 5 features some thrilling matchups that could shake up his rankings. The Eagles travel to Tampa Bay to face the Buccaneers, the Colts hit the road against the Rams, and headlining the weekend is the clash between the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs.

Despite both teams sitting at 1-2 early in the season, the matchup features Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes and serves as a rematch of the AFC Championship Game from two seasons ago.
