Tom Brady’s Massive Fox Sports Contract Revealed

There will be no shortage of star talent for Tom Brady to dissect when the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX.

At 6:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, Fox Sports' controversial lead NFL analyst will conclude the first season of his massive 10-year contract by calling his first Super Bowl as a broadcaster.

The game will feature some of the best players in the league, from Philadelphia's dynamic duo of Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley to Kansas City icons like Travis Kelce and Chris Jones.

Brady is not even playing in the game, but his contract with Fox Sports is reportedly worth more than every Chiefs and Eagles player — except for Patrick Mahomes. Let's take a look at the reported figures.

Although Fox never disclosed the official terms of Brady's contract, it has been widely reported to be worth $375 million over the next 10 years.

According to The Athletic's Andrew Marchand, the total value may end up even higher, because it includes stock options.

To put that in perspective, the seven-time Super Bowl champion earned just under $333 million from contracts during his entire 23-year playing career with the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Mahomes' deal, which was the richest in NFL history when he signed it in July 2020, is worth $450 million over 10 years. On a per-year basis, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott currently has the fattest contract in the league, a four-year deal worth $60 million per season on average.

Even within a broadcasting industry where salaries are booming, Brady's $37.5 million per year stands out. ESPN's Troy Aikman and CBS' Tony Romo, who do the same job that Brady does for Fox, both earn $18 million per season.

Brady has used his fortune to buy into the Las Vegas Raiders ownership group. Despite the potential conflicts that could arise between his roles as an NFL owner and a game analyst, Brady has asserted that he intends to continue in the booth and see out his decade-long contract with Fox.

Not bad for a retirement gig.
