It’s been an interesting offseason for A.J Brown and the Philadelphia Eagles.

Without even factoring the Dianna Russini-Mike Vrabel-Brown dumpster fire, the Eagles’ve had a strange 2026 NFL offseason. The Jalen Hurts reports are damning and Philadelphia’s struggling to find an offensive identity. Head Coach Nick Sirianni is…Nick Sirianni.

And Brown’s time in Philly is drawing to an end barring divine intervention.

What’s divine? Well you’ll have to ask the man Himself because I couldn’t tell you.

What I can tell you are the five most desperate teams in need of a talent like Brown. Before I do, let’s take a look back at his time in Philly.

A.J Brown’s Pedigree

For starters, the trade that sent Brown from Nashville to Philly’s going to be talked about for years. In the former, it’s the reason Tennessee fired their GM and Head Coach, and are currently spinning their wheels during the umpteenth rebuild.

On the other side? Philadelphia got a an electrifying playmaker with…hands. Whether or not they’re good depends on who you ask. If you ask Brown, the Eagles aren’t using him enough and Kevin Patullo (now apart of the Dolphins’ coaching staff) should be burned at the stake for crimes against Vince Lombardi.

For the fans, they’ll tell you he was worth the headache. Until he wasn’t. Not unlike the Avatar, when the Eagles needed Brown the most, his hands vanished. Regardless, Brown helped build Philly into a championship team that mollywhopped the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX.

Now? There’s not enough ibuprofen in the world for Philly fans to A) deal with his stuff and B) watch him leave. The former Titan-turned-Eagle’s turned heads with some of his comments and behavior on the Philadelphia sideline. From trash-talking the Philly offense on a Twitch stream–

What is it with star receivers and Twitch streams?

–to posting cryptic posts on his Instagram, Brown’s voiced his frustration and displeasure with the Eagles’ offensive execution. And his malaise in general.

Before we get into the teams best suited to Brown’s ability, let’s take a look at the stats.

Brown had another 1000 yard season in 2026 and tallied 7 touchdowns. The biggest indicator that Philly’s offense didn’t get the job down for Brown? Yards per reception. He had the lowest yards per reception (12.3) in his entire career, which led to a palty 66 receiving yards per game. For reference, that’s the lowest since his rookie year.

There is merit to Brown’s complaints. So, these are the teams that he could provide a significant boost to–if they use him correctly.

1. New Orleans Saints

Stop! Wait a minute.

No this isn’t Bruno Mars, but hear me out a sec.

If the Saints truly have something in Tyler Shough–which I believe they might–Brown could be a versatile weapon to help out the Saints offense.

Chris Olave is wonderful. One problem: concussions and overall durability. As New Orleans tries to rebound from Dennis Allen, Head Coach Kellen Moore needs weapons to help stabilize the Saints’ offense. Moore’s worked with the likes of CeeDee Lamb, and I’d argue Brown and Lamb have similar builds and playstyles.

Also Brown just looks so good in a Saints jersey.

2. Buffalo Bills

Imagine Josh Allen scrambling out of the pocket, running around in a circle, then firing a 60-yard dime to A.J Brown.

As a Dolphins fan, I’m liable to lose sleep over this image. But for Bills fans, nothing can be more tantalizing than finally getting a playmaking receiver after Stefon Diggs skipped town.

As great as Allen is, the Bills have relied on him to singlehandedly carry the offense. James Cook emerged as a feature back last year, but if the Dallas dynasties of the 90s taught us anything, a good running-back paired with a good receiver-quarterback duo can be lethal.

Pairing Brown up with Allen could be disastrous for the AFC. If Joe Brady finds his offensive footing and re-establishes the K-Gun offense, then maybe Buffalo has a chance of getting past the Divisional Round. Plus, with D.J Moore on the opposite side, Allen could have a career year. Possibly even record-breaking if the cards fall in their favor.

And maybe pigs’ll fly when the Bills reach another Super Bowl.

3. Washington Commanders

I’m going to say this before scurrying to my hidey-hole to avoid being pelted with snowballs by the Philly faithful.

A.J Brown in a Commanders’ uniform looks ugly. So ugly I didn’t even want to generate an image for it. But hear me out. Jayden Daniels isn’t far removed from Josh Allen in that he needs help, too.

Now granted, Daniels needs help in the same way a medical patient needs a doctor, a nurse, a nurse practitioner and a good lawyer. The Commanders looked sloppy in 2025 after a stellar 2024 season, and Head Coach Dan Quinn’s starting to feel his seat warm a little.

Will Brown be the end-all be-all fix for Washington? Hell no. But I think the NFC East needs a little drama. More than it already has.

4. Miami Dolphins

The likely chances of A.J Brown coming to Miami are about as good as my chances at winning the Pick 5.

But after trading Jaylen Waddle to Denver for a haul of picks, Miami’s in desperate need of a playmaking wide receiver. They can’t just feed Malik Willis to the wolves.

The big hindrance to Miami acquiring a talent like Brown? Cap space. Miami ate a hunk of coinage by releasing Tua Tagovailoa ($100 mill, to be exact) and there is no chance in hell he comes to Miami.

Maybe I put Miami on the list to ignite a false hope that we can contend in the next five years.

#5. Green Bay Packers

Behold! AJ Brown in a Packers jersey. A deal Eagles fans find just as disgusting as Brown in a Commanders’ jersey.

Why does this work? Head Coach Matt LaFleur is begging Jordan Love to remain consistent. Love’s been prone to consistency issues and who better else to even out Green Bay’s receiving corps than Brown?

Brown adds versatility to the Green Bay offense, which comes close to mirroring the Philadelphia offense–

Okay maybe not Green Bay.

Jokes aside, I think Brown paired up with Matthew Golden and Christian Watson could be a trio of dynamic receivers. Good enough to take Green Bay back to the Big Dance? We’ll see.

Probably not.

End Of My A.J Brown Rant

Whether or not Brown leaves Philly is up for debate, but one thing’s for certain: as long as Sirianni’s in charge, it’s not looking like a good fit. Both are quite stubborn when it comes to how things should be run. Sirianni and his frat-bro personality have rubbed players and fans the wrong way.
