Buccaneers
- According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Buccaneers DT Vita Vea is one of the players on the radar for the Giants. However, he says Tampa Bay is not expected to trade him.
- He adds Buccaneers OC Zac Robinson was on thin ice following the team’s 1-5 start, but two straight wins after pivoting to lean hard on the run game have helped solidify his standing more.
- ESPN’s Cameron Wolfe reports multiple teams inquired with Tampa Bay about Vea, but have been turned away. Buccaneers OLB YaYa Diaby was also seen as a potential trade candidate, but the mini win streak and his recent MCL injury have probably nixed any chance of that.
Falcons
- Falcons GM Ian Cunningham talked about how he hated having just five draft picks this past year, and the Falcons are already fifth and sixth-rounders after two trades this summer (though they got a seventh back in one). As a result, ESPN’s Marc Raimondi would be surprised if Atlanta were active at the trade deadline.
- ESPN’s Dan Graziano says if the Falcons ever decided to trade S Jessie Bates, they would have interest.
Panthers
- ESPN’s Mike Kaye says the Panthers will be looking at finding cost-effective help for their defense ahead of the trade deadline.
- Panthers TE Ja’Tavion Sanders is a potential trade chip for a late-round swap or equivalent value. (Jeremy Fowler)
