Sometimes in the NFL, it takes time to grow something special. When it comes to chemistry between certain players, it doesn't always click right away. The Jacksonville Jaguars are trying to make sure they click right away.
Last season, we saw Brian Thomas Jr. and Trevor Lawrence connect on some big-time plays. Thomas Jr. ended up being one of the best receivers in the league by the time the season was over, finishing with 1,200 receiving yards and 10 receiving touchdowns. But it wasn't always sunshine and rainbows.
In Thomas' first four games of the season, he didn't break 100 receiving yards, and had less than 50 receiving yards in two of those games. So, he and Lawrence didn't just start off going crazy; they had to grow and learn how each other liked to play. And, Thomas is kind of quiet when it comes to talking on the field, whether it be trash talk or talking to his teammates. That doesn't mean the chemistry is bad, or even that it's Thomas' fault, but that maybe it wasn't done growing yet, and was still so young in terms of their partnership.
With Lawrence and Travis Hunter, we may not see that. There is a good chance that we will see the two click right away, especially because you can already see the chemistry the two already have.
The Jaguars are really banking on Hunter to be a viable weapon next to Thomas Jr., and a guy that Lawrence can rely on, because he hasn't had too many of those players during his career with the Jaguars. Jacksonville is building its team around Lawrence on the offensive side of the ball, and having Hunter as a wide receiver gives him another option.
So, the two of them must have some sort of good chemistry. And, so far, it seems like they have really good chemistry.

Not only are the two training together outside of the facility, but they just finished up all organized team activities until training camp, which is over a month away. But they are also coming up with their own handshake, and it's definitely something that you would have to have good chemistry to do because of how goofy the handshake is.
If the two of them can carry that over and continue to build that chemistry, they could establish themselves as a true threat when it comes to the passing game with BTJ and Hunter catching passes from Lawrence.
They will need a dominant passing attack against the teams in their divisions, too. The Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, and Tennessee Titans are all also vying for that top spot in the division while also having defensive units with great potential.
