It was a strong first week for Travis Hunter and the Jacksonville Jaguars. Head coach Liam Coen's team held the Carolina Panthers to just 10 points in a 16-point win. Now, the Jaguars will look to win two in a row to start the season, as they go on the road to face the Cincinnati Bengals.
Hunter, the former Colorado Buffaloes star, got on the field on both sides of the ball. He caught six passes, which led the team, and recorded his first tackle on defense.
The Jaguars excelled on defense. With the strong game, linebacker Foyesade Oluokun won a weekly award from the NFL.
The Jaguars announced the award Wednesday with the following:
"We go as he goes. @foyelicious is your AFC Defensive Player of the Week."

In the win, Oluokun recorded 10 tackles, six of them solo. He also added a pass deflection in the win. Second on the team with eight tackles was safety Andrew Wingard. The Jacksonville defense held the Panthers to just 255 total yards of offense, with 142 via the pass and 113 on the ground.
The Jaguars forced three Carolina turnovers, with Bryce Young throwing two interceptions. The Jags' offense turned it over just once.
Offensively, Hunter was one of eight receivers to catch a pass in the win. Hunter had eight targets, while Brian Thomas Jr. finished with seven. Brenton Strange picked up the most receiving yards for Jacksonville, with 59, while Hunter Long was the lone receiver to catch a touchdown pass.
The Jaguars, following their trip to Cincinnati, will return home to host the Houston Texans in their first AFC South game of the season. To wrap up the month of September, the Jaguars head to San Francisco in Week 4.
