The iconic Rocky Statue in Philadelphia could be wearing Kansas City Chiefs gear before the Super Bowl. However, Travis Kelce isn't convinced their fans would be behind the vandalism.
Before the NFC Championship Game, someone placed Washington football gear over the statue of Sylvester Stallone's famed fictional boxer. On Sunday, the Eagles knocked out the Commanders in a 55-23 blowout at Lincoln Financial Field.
Following the win, the Eagles posted the photo along with other incidents of Rocky wearing the colors of an opposing team before losing to Philadelphia.
"It never ends well," the Eagles wrote on social media.

Re-decorating the Rocky monument has seemingly become a popular prank from opposing fans. Or if you subscribe to Kelce's theory, that's what the Eagles want you to think.
Ahead of a Super Bowl rematch against Philadelphia, Travis and Kelce discussed the Rocky defacing on their New Heights podcast. The Kansas City tight end suggested that it's an inside job.
"I'm fully aware that it happens every single meaningful game. I don't think it's the other team doing it at this point," Travis said.
"You think the Eagles are doing it?" Jason asked.
"100 percent," Travis replied.
While it's unclear if he believes the team or Eagles fans are behind the deception, the 10-time Pro Bowler sees it as a rallying cry for Philadelphia.
"They're just firing up the entire city," Travis suggested. "Getting it nice and rowdy."
Jason's view of the Rocky vandalism adds some credence to his brother's theory.
"I love it," Jason said when Travis asked if the NFC title game was "over" after someone put Washington gear on Rocky. "Whenever I see a team do it, I'm like, all right. Y'all playing with fire. The ghost of Rocky's about to freak you."
The brothers also noted that Rocky wore red when the Eagles played the Chiefs in the Super Bowl two years ago. Contrary to Philadelphia's claim, the game still ended well for Kansas City. Travis notched 81 yards and a touchdown in a 38-35 victory.
Chiefs fans may now think twice about giving the Rocky Statue a makeover before Feb. 9. But what about the Eagles?
