Travis Kelce’s future was one of the biggest talking points entering the NFL offseason. After a disappointing 2025 campaign for the Kansas City Chiefs, there was real uncertainty about whether the veteran tight end would return or consider retirement after 13 seasons with the franchise.
Kelce ultimately put those questions to rest. After weeks of speculation, he agreed to return for his 14th NFL season, prompting the Chiefs to lock him in with a new deal. Kansas City signed Kelce to a three-year contract worth $54.7 million, with a maximum value of $57.7 million including incentives, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
While it is labeled as a three-year extension, it is effectively a one-year, $12 million fully guaranteed deal for 2026, with an additional $3 million available in incentives. The remaining years are structured to spread the salary cap hit, including a notable $40 million trigger tied to 2027, giving the Chiefs flexibility moving forward.
With his return secured, Kelce is now preparing for another season in Kansas City, and has now made more headlines off the field.
The 11-time Pro Bowl tight end landed a major endorsement opportunity during the offseason. On Monday, Tommy Hilfiger announced him as its newest global brand ambassador and creative collaborator:
“Introducing Travis Kelce as Tommy Hilfiger’s newest global brand ambassador and creative collaborator,” the brand wrote on X. “Known for his presence both on and off the field, he brings a new perspective to timeless American style, blending confidence, individuality and a modern point of view. From the field to the front row, this is just the beginning.”

Details of the partnership beyond the announcement have not been fully disclosed, but the move adds to Kelce’s already extensive portfolio off the field.
Kelce has built a strong presence in the endorsement space, including partnerships with American Eagle, Nike, and Pfizer, among others. He has also expanded into business ventures and branding, further establishing himself as one of the NFL’s most marketable stars.
While Kelce continues to make moves outside the gridiron, he will also be getting ready for what would be a pivotal season in Kansas City, with the Chiefs hoping to bounce back after missing the playoffs in 2025.
