Travis Kelce to sing alongside brother Jason on upcoming ‘A Philly Special Christmas’ album
Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

We’ve seen the Kelce bros perform together on Saturday Night Live. We follow their engaging brotherly podcast. And it’s a given that Travis and Jason can excel in the NFL. They both started in February’s Super Bowl.

But they’re about to show us another slice of their talents. They’re going to sing on an upcoming Christmas album. We’re betting you didn’t expect that.

Jason Kelce promoed their performance Tuesday by sharing a video clip. You don’t see Travis in the clip. But you hear Jason descrive the song. The NFL pulled the video from the Instagram account called “The Philly Christmas Special” and shared the news. The Kelce brothers’ single drops, Wednesday.

Jason Kelce pitched song to Travis about relationship of brothers

In the video, Jason calls Travis to talk him into the duet. He said the other guys recording the video pitched the idea to him before he called Travis.

“It’s like two people fighting,” Jason said in the phone call to his brother. “But they really love each other. It kind of works really good for our relationship. I think it could be the relationship of two brothers, how much you’re wrapped up in your families lives and how that impacts where you end up in life.”

Tjis is the second Christmas album created by three Eagles offensive lineman — Jason Kelce, Lane Johnson and Jordan Mailata. The album will be available via the likes of Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music. So it’s definitely the real deal.

Like we said, this is a legit album. Last week, the three linemen dropped another song from the album. It’s “This Christmas” with Patti LaBelle and Mailata. A year ago, the linemen invited fellow teammates  Jalen HurtsA.J. Brown, Brandon Graham and Haason Reddick to join them on the album.

Travis and Jason will meet next Monday at Arrowhead

This week already is one of the best of the football season. The Kelce brothers will meet again on Monday Night Football in a repeat of the Super Bowl. This time, the setting is Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City with the Chiefs (7-2) taking on the Eagles (8-1). The two teams still look like favorites to reach the big game at Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium in February, 2024.

And who knows, maybe Travis Kelce received some singing tips from his new girlfriend, Taylor Swift. Travis is safely back in Kansas City after spending a long weekend in Argentina as popstar Swift opened the South American swing of her Eras Tour. Kelce was backstage Saturday night to greet Swift when she finished her concert. Cameras caught the two sharing a kiss.

Now there’s even chatter wondering if Swift will swing by KC to watch the biggest football game in the Kelce family this season. Will she make the 13-hour flight to be back in time for the game? That’s a story for another day.

But by Wednesday, we will know how well the Kelce brothers can harmonize.
