It's news that we've been anticipating for literal years but has finally come true: Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are engaged.
The announcement was made on Tuesday with both the Kansas City Chiefs tight end and the world-renown musician going on social media to share photos from their engagement.
"Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married," Swift wrote on her Instagram page.
Naturally, news of the big announcement has reached Kansas City Chiefs training camp, which is wrapping up this week ahead of the NFL season's Week 1 starting up in just a few days.
But if the Chiefs know anything about what's been going on, they're doing a good job of keeping it to themselves.
Case-in-point, Chiefs defensive end Mike Danna walked up to the podium for today's media session and led it off by declaring "I don't know nothing!"

While it was a good impression of the iconic "Sgt. Schultz" from Hogan's Heroes, it's probably a theme that's going to be repeated among Chiefs players and coaches for a good while.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s romance has unfolded into one of the most celebrated power‑couple stories of the 2020s. What began in 2023—when Kelce tried to give Swift his number via a friendship bracelet after attending her Eras Tour show—soon blossomed into a deeply personal relationship before Swift made her first public appearance at a Chiefs game that September.
Their relationship quickly became a cultural phenomenon. Swift regularly cheered on Kelce at games, becoming fast friends with his family. Their appearances together—including a memorable on‑stage segment at Swift’s Eras Tour and Swift’s presence at Super Bowl events—drew massive media attention and transformed Kelce’s appeal across sports and entertainment audiences.
The media labeled them a “supercouple”—even “America’s royal couple”—thanks to their wide public approval and the “Taylor Swift Effect,” which boosted NFL viewership, merchandise, and even ticket sales.
The Kansas City Chiefs are the defending AFC champions and have won the conference title in five of the last six seasons. But while they've suffered Super Bowl defeats before, their devastating loss in Super Bowl 59 has just about everyone predicting the downfall of the team's dynasty.
Kelce was believed to have been ready to retire prior to the big game, but apparently made it his mission not to go out like that.
It is now believed that 2025 will be his final season.
Now that he's on the verge of getting married, it's far easier to imagine that being the case.
