Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes have been busy with their preparations for the upcoming season with the Kansas City Chiefs. These two will be looking to make amends after their heartbreaking loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl, and they’ve been putting in the work ahead of what they’re hoping will be another memorable run in 2025.
Apart from their football, these two stars also collaborated on a new project during the offseason. This comes in the form of their new restaurant in Kansas City, 1587 Prime, which is described as a "contemporary steakhouse" that is "infused with the spirit of Kansas City." On Monday, the steakhouse finally announced its opening date, set for September 17.
Kelce reacted to the big reveal with a three-word message.
“Let’s go KC!!! ” the All-Pro tight end wrote in the comments section.
Mahomes also commented on the post, pointing out that the opening date coincides with his birthday. The three-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback floated the possibility of celebrating his special day during 1587 Prime’s opening. “30th Birthday Party?!?!” Mahomes wrote.
Kelce and Mahomes’ big reveal has already stirred a lot of excitement among fans and friends alike, especially now that it has been confirmed that the opening date is officially less than a month away.
Chiefs supporters, however, are even more eager about the upcoming season. Kelce shunned retirement to return in 2025, and this could very well be his last dance. This should serve as motivation for Kelce, Mahomes and the rest of the Chiefs to make sure that this season counts.
