Twitter reacts to Stetson Bennett being selected by the Rams

Stetson Bennett, a two-time National Champion, was selected by the Rams with the 128th pick in the NFL Draft on Saturday.

Bennett, a Manning Award recipient, led the Georgia Bulldogs to back-to-back national titles in 2022 and 2023. He has already thrown touchdown passes in the Rams’ SoFi Stadium, winning the 2023 National Championship in Inglewood, California.

He threw for 8,428 yards and 66 touchdowns during his four-year run with the Georgia Bulldogs, a team that he originally walked on in 2017 and worked his way up to become a starter.

Bennett is known for his athleticism, playmaking and accuracy as a passer with an ability to rally his team.

His age, 25, and undersized attributes (5-foot-11, 192 pounds) may have led to his drop in the NFL Draft, but his leadership qualities and playmaking have been praised by his college coaches and teammates.

Bennett is considered undersized for an NFL quarterback, but he’s able to use his mobility and quickness to his advantage.

Despite not having ideal height, he has shown his ability to look over the offensive line and find passing lanes downfield. His leadership ability and clutch moments has helped him become a key contributor to the Georgia football team’s recent success.

Bennett will now join Super Bowl Champion Matthew Stafford, who is also a former Georgia Bulldog.
