Is it weird that Tyreek Hill might be considered a sleeper in 2025 Fantasy Football? The guy has done nothing but outspeed defenders since he was drafted out of West Alabama. Out of the ten seasons he’s been active, Hill has averaged more than 20 fantasy points per game in four of them. That being said, nobody wants to take a risk on anyone on Miami’s offense after their rough previous season. Is that enough of a reason to pass on Tyreek Hill?
The interesting thing about Hill’s performance last season is that it seems like he left a bad taste in players’ mouths, but the stats don’t show much of a drop-off. When starter Tua Tagovailoa was injured, Hill didn’t have any strong performances (as expected).
He could even reach as many as 14 fantasy points at any point from Week 2 to Week 10. Looking at the other games where Tua was healthy, though, the Dolphins pretty much got vintage Tyreek Hill. He did hit 100+ yards in three games on the season and scored at least 20 fantasy points in three games as well. Overall, it may look like an abysmal season for Hill, but if you look at the games where the Dolphins were healthy, it wasn’t like he was underperforming.
Tyreek Hill’s production clearly has a lot riding on Tua staying healthy. If he does that, though, Hill should be a threat to score 20+ fantasy points in each week he plays. It may be rough having faith in Tua after his horrendous concussion from last season, but if Miami can keep defenders out of the backfield, that benefits Tua, De’Von Achane, Jaylen Waddle, and Hill alike.
Looking at where experts have Hill ranked and where he’s getting drafted, not everyone is optimistic about where Hill will finish. Fantasy Pros has him ranked outside of the top 20, and his ADP is 33 overall. That’s good news for anyone who wants to draft Hill, though, because he is falling to later rounds. It’s not like he can be a reliable WR1, but once it comes time to draft a WR2 and Hill is still on the board, definitely draft him. Nobody wants to be the guy who gives up on Hill if he does have a healthy season, since we all know what he can do with the ball in his hands.
