Tyreek Hill linked to another AFC contender besides Chiefs

Week 1 is in the rearview mirror, and Tyreek Hill is still a free agent.

However, his agent recently revealed that he should be 100 percent ready to go in October. While the Kansas City Chiefs have always been the most logical landing spot, other teams might also be interested.

Considering that, Bleacher Report's Alex Kay believes he'll stay in the AFC, though not in the West. In his latest column, he made a case for the Baltimore Ravens to make a run at him, considering the injuries and how thin they already were at the position.

"Hill's blazing speed, elite athleticism and strong hands would help him play a role in Baltimore's passing attack from the jump, potentially even seamlessly transitioning into Flowers' high-volume role if called upon," Kay wrote. "Considering the injuries this already-thin receiving corps has been dealing with, adding Hill as soon as he's ready to play again should be atop the Baltimore front office's to-do list."

The Ravens lost rookie Ja'Kobi Lane and Zay Flowers in the season-opening win over the Indianapolis Colts. Lane is expected to miss time, and while Flowers' injury might not be severe, he also has a history of missing games with soft-tissue injuries.

The Ravens need more help besides Rashod Bateman, and Chris Moore and LaJohntay Wester aren't much more than depth pieces. Also, Lamar Jackson's connection with Mark Andrews isn't what it used to be as the veteran tight end grew older.

Obviously, Hill isn't the speedy playmaker he used to be, and his health is also worth keeping a close eye on. That said, he's still a future Hall of Famer who can make a big impact if he's truly healthy, and the Ravens have a long history of signing veteran wide receivers to help Jackson.
