Athleticism: Chase Lundt is an elite athlete, boasting terrific movement skills. He's explosive off of the line of scrimmage and twitched up moving in the open field. Lundt is capable of reaching any defender with his elite athleticism, made even more jaw-dropping by his frame.
Hand Placement: Lundt frequently demonstrates accurate, well-timed hands, capable of controlling reps. He resets with ease if his first strike misses, and he rarely gets caught by opposing counters.
Footwork: Lundt does a fantastic job mixing up his pass sets. He's smooth dropping in his set, with little wasted movement and he mirrors rushers well.
Play Strength: His frame limits his play strength, and he's obviously light. He likely won't be able to improve that much without sacrificing what makes his game great, which will limit him at the next level.
Anchor: Like many tall tackles, Lundt doesn't have a great anchor. He drops it with ease, but still gets walked back against power rushers.
Length: Despite Lundt's tall size, his arms are just average, measuring in just right at 33 inches. This average length, coupled with his play strength and anchor, limits some of his capabilities at the next level.
It's easy to fall in love with Chase Lundt's film. He's an unbelievable mover for his size, capable of executing pretty much any assignment as a blocker you could ask of him. That, combined with his clean technique and smarts, give him a high floor at the NFL level.
However, his limitations will likely keep him from being a high-end starter in the NFL. He will need the right situation and scheme in order to find NFL success. That being said, there is a good starting right tackle in the NFL in Chase Lundt.
Abraham Lucas (Seattle Seahawks)
This one stood out to me from the get-go. The two have eerily similar games and athletic profiles. Much like what I've identified with Lundt, Lucas has battled in the NFL. When healthy, he's a good starting right tackle but his limitations keep him from being considered among the best.
