Update on Kader Kohou Injury
Mike McDaniel, at his media session on Monday, was asked about the severity of the injury Kader Kohou suffered early at practice on Saturday, which caused him to leave practice.
McDaniel said there needs to be a few more evaluations before they have a better understanding of the seriousness of the injury. The swelling needs to go down, and once it does, they will have a better idea of how long he will be out.
On Saturday, Kohou was covering Tyreek Hill on a play and went down to the ground. He was limping off the practice field under his own power and went back inside the facility with trainers. He did not return to practice.

Shortly after the injury, Miami signed CB Mike Hilton, who is also a nickel cornerback like Kohou. Many feel the Kohou injury caused Miami to run out and sign Hilton because if Kohou is out a few weeks or months or longer, they do not have a capable slot/nickel cornerback on the roster.
And Hilton is an experienced nickel cornerback.
Last year for Cincinnati, he played in 16 games, started 10, and had one interception. He has 13 career interceptions.
Hilton’s PFF grades last year were that he had an overall grade of 75.9, ranking him 24th out of 222 cornerbacks. A coverage grade of 68.5, ranking him 55th out of 222 cornerbacks. And a run defense grade of 91.7, ranking 1st out of 222 cornerbacks.
He has played in 123 games and started 56 of them.
The Dolphins also signed free agent CB Jack Jones on Saturday morning.
Jones was a 4th-round pick in 2022 by the Patriots, and the last two seasons he has played for the Las Vegas Raiders. He has also had numerous off the field incidents as well.
Jack Jones is 27 years old, playing 42 games, starting 21 of them. Last season for the Raiders, Jones played in 17 games, starting 16 of them, and he had 3 interceptions. He gave up 8 touchdowns and had 15 missed tackles last season.
He has seven interceptions for his career.
His PFF numbers last season were a 53.9 overall grade at CB, rated 166 out of 222 cornerbacks. He had a coverage grade of 52.9, rated 168 out of 222 cornerbacks, and a run defense grade of 58.6, rated 142 out of 222 cornerbacks.
Miami also signed CB Cornell Armstrong a couple days ago after the Artie Burns injury. Armstrong hasn’t played in the NFL since 2022.
