On May 27, JokerStars in Houston, Texas briefly became the sight of some Old West-style violence when former NFL running back Adrian Peterson got into a fistfight over a hand of poker.
Peterson told TMZ that he and an acquaintance got into a disagreement at a gaming table and then "one thing led to another." The other involved the two men trading blows for several seconds. Peterson - who has been involved in celebrity boxing since his retirement from the NFL - appeared to take a few punches at the beginning but then rallied as the proceedings continued.

Apparently, Peterson and the other man made up after the fight.
"Me and the guy, we're cool," Peterson said. "We've known each other. It was literally like a brother situation. We agreed to disagree, we had our words, and we threw blows -- and that was it."
Police were not called to the scene, and JokerStars did not discipline either man, according to Peterson.
The running back ranks No. 5 on the NFL's all-time rushing yards list with 14,918. A likely future NFL Hall of Famer, Peterson played primarily for the Minnesota Vikings in his 15-year career, while also spending time with six other teams. He retired following the 2021 season.
