Carson Wentz is back in the mix with the Minnesota Vikings.
Wentz has served as the starter for the Vikings over the past several weeks while JJ McCarthy has been injured in Minnesota.
The former Super Bowl champion has started four games for head coach Kevin O'Connell. During his time as the starter for Minnesota, the Vikings have defeated the Cincinnati Bengals and the Cleveland Browns.
While Wentz has faired well against those AFC North teams, the Vikings have also suffered two losses under the quarterback, falling to the Philadelphia Eagles and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Now, with the Minnesota Vikings set to face the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 8, they announced their starting quarterback.
While Minnesota mentioned that McCarthy is progressing well from a leg injury, Carson Wentz will serve as the starter for the Vikings against the Chargers.
