Vikings cut one wide receiver, sign former Maryland wideout
USA TODAY Sports

For the second day in a row the Vikings have signed a new wide receiver.

A day after adding former first round pick N'Keal Harry, the Vikings announced Monday the signing of receiver Jacob Copeland.

Copeland was waived by the Tennessee Titans late last week after signing as an undrafted free agent.

The 24-year-old caught 26 passes for 376 yards and two touchdowns in his one year at Maryland. Copeland caught 86 passes for 1,366 yards and nine touchdowns in four years at Florida before transferring to Maryland.

In order to make room for Copeland, the Vikings cut Cephus Johnson III.

Harry and Copeland join the wide receiver mix that features Justin Jefferson, KJ Osborn, Jordan Addison, Jalen Nailor, Brandon Powell and Jalen Reagor.

Minnesota plays the first of three preseason games this Thursday at Seattle. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. CT and the game will be televised on NFL Network.
