It was a nice bounce-back win for the Washington Commanders on Sunday following their disappointing Week 2 loss to the Green Bay Packers.

The Commanders turned in a dominant performance against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday to score a 41-24 victory and improve to 2-1 on the season.

Terry McLaurin played his part in the win, registering 74 receiving yards on three catches, including a team-high 56-yard recpetion. The two-time Pro Bowl wide receiver made history on the evening as well, climbing the Commanders’ franchise leaderboard for receiving yards.

The team took to social media after the win to announce McLaurin’s incredible milestone.

“Terry McLaurin. 5th all-time in receiving yards in franchise history (6,528),” the Commanders posted on X.

McLaurin surpassed Hall of Famer Bobby Mitchell (6,492) for the No. 5 spot on the esteemed list . Up next on the list for Harris is Commanders icon Santana Moss, who has 7,867 receiving yards to his name.

It is important to note, however, that McLaurin suffered a quad injury in the second half of Sunday’s win. The Commanders listed him as questionable to return, and the 30-year-old was ultimately held out for the remainder of the contest.

McLaurin will likely undergo tests to determine the extent of the injury, which, depending on the severity, could potentially impact his chase for the No. 4 spot on the Commanders’ all-time list for receiving yards.

More importantly, however, Washington will be keeping a close eye on McLaurin’s quad issue because losing one of their best offensive weapons at this point in the season would be a considerable blow for them and their playoff aspirations this year.
