With pass-catching back J.D. McKissic already on injured reserve, the Washington Football Team can ill afford to lose another running back ahead of Week 17 against the Philadelphia Eagles. With a 6-9 record entering the contest, they'll need to win their final two contests and get some help to make the postseason, but the road may have just gotten significantly tougher.

Not only has Flowers played in all 15 games this season and been on the field for all 1,002 offensive snaps, but he's only committed one penalty.
Gibson, meanwhile, is the team's leader in rushing attempts (237), rushing yards (891) and rushing touchdowns (six). He has also contributed 41 receptions for 289 receiving yards and three touchdowns on 49 targets.
If Gibson is ruled out for Sunday, the bulk of the carries would likely go to undrafted rookie Jaret Patterson. The 22-year-old has appeared in all 15 contests this season, earning 50 carries for 188 rushing yards and one touchdown.
