New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones can't seem to overcome the turnover bug.
On a 1st-and-10 at Washington's 29-yard line early in the first quarter Sunday, Jones crumbled under pressure and fumbled. Commanders linebacker Bobby Wagner recovered the loose ball, which rolled deep into Giants' territory.
Although it appeared Jones was throwing the ball away, Washington head coach Dan Quinn challenged the play, and instant replay showed the QB's arm wasn't moving forward.

Since being drafted No. 6 overall by the Giants in 2019, Jones has had a tumultuous tenure in New York. One reason he has not met expectations is his apparent inability to take care of the ball.
Jones has 52 turnovers (45 interceptions and seven fumbles lost) in his career. He hadn't lost a fumble through his first eight starts this season but threw five picks.
Jones signed a four-year, $160M deal in 2023, but would the Giants consider moving on if his play doesn't improve? Tankathon's projections have New York taking Texas QB Quinn Ewers with the eighth overall pick of the 2025 NFL Draft.
