Cornerback Joey Porter Jr. somehow fell out of the first round in the 2023 NFL Draft. It was unexpected, as Porter Jr. was thought to be a first-round pick, but his dad believes it will only help his game.
"There's nothing like motivation, right? They want to see a pissed off football player. Now they got one," Porter Sr. said.
"Now you've been motivated to another level because we've got something to prove...take it personal," Porter Sr. told his son.

It's chilling to watch as Porter Jr. will likely take that moment with his dad throughout his entire career.
Steelers fans are thrilled they landed the newly motivated Porter Jr., who ranked as Pro Football Focus's No. 21 overall prospect and fourth-best cornerback in this year's class.
Former Steeler and ESPN analyst reacted to the moment between father and son.
I couldn’t love this more. Joey SR (Peezy) did the exact same thing for teammates. Born leader of men, and a great father. Salute https://t.co/oyYJO0CBmE

Porter Sr. played linebacker for the Steelers for eight seasons (1999-2006), helping them win Super Bowl XL. Now, Porter Jr. will try to do the same thing just like his father.
