Watch: Linebacker BJ Ojulari suffers left knee injury
Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

GLENDALE — The Cardinals just wrapped up their ninth practice of training camp. Towards the tail end of practice, the defense suffered a major injury. On a third down rep, outside linebacker BJ Ojulari was engaged with right tackle Jonah Williams and went down in a heap during the play. The Cardinals got the third down stop as Kyler Murray was flushed from the pocket and threw an incomplete pass near the sideline, but immediately after all attention turned towards the injured second-year linebacker.

On the play, it appears that Ojulari hyperextended his left knee then took one more step before going down to the ground holding that knee. Trainers were able to get him on his feet and he was able to gingerly walk off the field.

Ojulari is an important piece to the Cardinals’ defense in 2024. A second round selection in the 2023 draft, he was on track to be the starting outside linebacker across from Zaven Collins.

Stay tuned for more updates.
