Pitt vs. Wake Forest: The 8th-seeded Wake Forest Demon Deacons made a statement with their 8-1 win over the 12th-seeded Pitt Panthers in pool play at the 2024 ACC Baseball Championship. Jake Reinisch got the scoring started with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the 1st inning and Marek Houston followed with a 3-run shot off the scoreboard to put the Deacs up 5-0. Cameron Gill got in on the act with a solo shot in the 6th. David Falco Jr. got the start on the mound for the Deacs and led a pitching staff that held the Panthers to just 1 run on 5 hits in the game.
