Watch: Rams WR Odell Beckham Jr. scores first touchdown of Super Bowl LVI

The first touchdown of Super Bowl LVI has been scored, and it came from a player who was with neither the Cincinnati Bengals nor Los Angeles Rams just a few months ago.

Following a stellar five-year run with the New York Giants to begin his NFL career, OBJ's two-and-a-half seasons with the Cleveland Browns were anything but. The former LSU Tiger was famously released by Cleveland on his 29th birthday in November and since landing in Los Angeles, has gotten his career back on track.

During six regular season games with the Browns in 2021, Beckham Jr. recorded 17 receptions on 34 targets for 232 yards and 0 touchdowns. In eight contests with the Rams, the three-time Pro Bowler secured 27 catches on 48 targets for 305 receiving yards and five touchdowns.

In Los Angeles' wild-card round victory over the Arizona Cardinals, Beckham Jr. had four catches on four targets for 54 yards and one touchdown, and posted six receptions on eight looks for 69 scoreless yards during the team's divisional round game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In the Rams NFC Championship Game win over the San Francisco 49ers, he erupted to put up season-highs in catches (nine), targets (11) and receiving yards (113).
