Watch Terrion Arnold’s Seahawks workout on Hard Knocks

It could be challenging to find interesting content for “Hard Knocks” at Seattle Seahawks’ training camp. The NFC West franchise is coming off a dominant Super Bowl victory and does not pack much drama. They are simply a well-run organization that is looking to outwork and outwit their opponents for another season. There is no quarterback controversy, no scandals currently dominating conversations in the media and no major contract dilemmas (star cornerback Devon Witherspoon is practicing while seeking a new deal). HBO stumbled into a juicy storyline all the same.

Former first-round draft pick Terrion Arnold, who faces felony charges of robbing and kidnapping, arrived at the Seahawks’ facility on Sunday to work out for the team. Hard Knocks gave fans a closer look at this notable development, via NFL insider Jordan Schultz.

The 23-year-old CB participated in drills, doing his best to showcase his athleticism, explosiveness and ball skills for head coach Mike Macdonald. He embraced the man at the end of the session and headed for the exits. It remains to be seen how Seattle will proceed, but Arnold has already met with the New Orleans Saints and Houston Texans and will visit the New York Giants on Wednesday. He is due to be arraigned on Thursday.

The No. 24 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft was arrested in Tampa, Florida and is accused of orchestrating the February kidnapping and robbing of three men. Prosecutors believe that Arnold incorrectly identified them as the people responsible for stealing $100,000 from him, along with expensive items. He turned himself into the police in June but denies the allegations. The Detroit Lions released him less than a week after the news broke.

Terrion Arnold, an All-American with Alabama, has struggled profusely to find his footing in the NFL over the last two years. A fresh start could potentially help, and the Seahawks obviously know what they are doing on defense. Seattle allowed a league-best 17.2 points per game last season, but Macdonald may want a little more help in the secondary.

Of course, the young corner cannot hit the reset button until he resolves his legal situation. One thing is for certain: If the Seahawks have any more interactions with Arnold this summer, HBO will be around to catch them.
