Week 11 fantasy football waiver wire must-adds

There were plenty of letdowns and injuries to go around in Week 10 of the NFL season. Every Tuesday, we will dive into a handful of the top fantasy football pickups available that week and why they could be of value for fantasy owners looking to give their teams an extra boost.

Here are the top waiver-wire adds for Week 11:

1. Romeo Doubs, WR, Green Bay Packers (rostered in 30% of fantasy leagues)

Despite Green Bay’s 3-6 record, Doubs is actually a solid add at this point in the season. He’s the Packers most-targeted receiver (59) and he’s surprisingly tied for the fifth-most touchdown receptions this year (six).

Doubs has scored a touchdown in three of the last four games, and he’s a must-add this week against a Chargers defense that allows the most passing yards per game (291.2), the most yards per reception (8.1) and has surrendered the eighth-most touchdown receptions (14) in the league.

2. Noah Brown, WR, Houston Texans (rostered in 7% of fantasy leagues)

At this point, adding any receiver catching passes from C.J. Stroud seems like a good fantasy football strategy. Brown set new career highs in receptions (seven) and yards (172) last week, and he appears to be a new go-to option for Stroud and a Texans passing attack that ranks second in the NFL.

Brown, who’s totaled 325 receiving yards over the last two weeks, has big play potential, as evidenced by his 25 yards per reception average in the last two games. He’s certainly worth an add as a WR2 or a flex starter with Nico Collins battling a calf injury.

3. Devin Singletary, RB, Houston Texans (rostered in 27% of fantasy leagues)

It took 10 games for the Texans to finally have a 100-yard rusher, and it was Singletary, not Dameon Pierce, who accomplished the feat. Pierce missed last week with an ankle injury, and after Singletary’s 150-yard performance in which he scored a touchdown, there’s no need to rush him back.

Despite having 17 fewer carries, Singletary has actually rushed for more yards than Pierce this year (359 to 327) and he’s scored the same amount of touchdowns.

Having a competent run game frees Stroud up to do as he pleases, so adding Singletary is a smart play this week against a Cardinals run defense that allows the fifth-most yards per game.

4. Ty Chandler, RB, Minnesota Vikings (rostered in 1% of fantasy leagues)

I think it’s time to admit the Alexander Mattison RB1 experiment was a failure. That’s not to say that Chandler is the answer, but at least last week, he looked to be the better option for the rest of the season.

Chandler set new career highs in carries (15) and yards (45), and he scored his first career touchdown. He’s only averaging 3.8 yards per carry this season, but that’s still better than Mattison, who has 107 more rushing attempts.

Chandler shouldn’t be counted on as a starter, but he’s a solid add for a team battling injuries or in need of a spot starter because of a bye week.

5. Pat Freiermuth, TE, Pittsburgh Steelers (rostered in 33% of fantasy leagues)

Placed in injured reserve after Week 4 with a hamstring injury, Freiermuth is nearing a return according to head coach Mike Tomlin. While he only recorded eight receptions and 53 yards in the four games he played this year, he did score two touchdowns.

When healthy, Freiermuth is a true weapon for the Steelers passing game. He totaled 63 receptions for 732 yards and two touchdowns last season, and he could be a real boost for QB Kenny Pickett, who hasn’t thrown for more than 160 yards and has just one touchdown over the last three games.

Freiermuth has tremendous value if stashed as a depth TE on the bench, and he might be worth a look as a starter as well.
