Week 11 of the NFL Season is in the books. Here are the Week 12 quarterback rankings for fantasy football. This week, the quarterbacks on bye are Justin Herbert, Bo Nix, Tua Tagovailoa, and Marcus Mariota. Jaxson Dart, Bryce Young, Aaron Rodgers, and Dillon Gabriel are questionable with injuries, while Michael Penix Jr. is out.

Quarterback Rankings Week 12 Fantasy Football

Tier 1: The Big 5

Rank Player Opponent
1 Jalen Hurts Dallas Cowboys
2 Drake Maye Cincinnati Bengals
3 Josh Allen Houston Texans
4 Lamar Jackson New York Jets
5 Matthew Stafford Tampa Bay Buccaneers

This top tier of quarterbacks is the best of the best in fantasy football:

  • After being a top ten fantasy quarterback in six out of seven weeks, Maye has had three straight weekly finishes outside of the top ten. Maye should get back on track against the terrible Bengals defense. They have allowed at least 27 team points in nine straight games, which is an NFL record. Maye is a top-two quarterback option this week in the quarterback rankings.
  • Superhuman Allen returned, scoring 42.68 fantasy points to lead the Bills to a victory over the Buccaneers. He had six total touchdowns, three in the air and three on the ground. Allen has a tough matchup against a great Texans defense, but he is still a top-five option.

Tier 2: Low-End QB1s

Rank Player Opponent
6 Patrick Mahomes Indianapolis Colts
7 Jaxson Dart* Detroit Lions
8 Jared Goff New York Giants
9 Baker Mayfield Los Angeles Rams
10 Dak Prescott Philadelphia Eagles

These guys are low-end QB1s, and I feel comfortable starting any of them as my QB1 this week:

  • Mahomes threw a season-high 45 pass attempts, but he only scored 13.34 fantasy points. This was his second straight game scoring under 15 fantasy points after only doing it one time in the first eight weeks. The Chiefs are now 5-5 and have a massive game with the Colts to avoid falling under .500. Expect Mahomes to run more and try to will the Chiefs to victory.
  • Goff did not play well on Sunday Night Football, completing just 14 of 37 passes. The Eagles defense had the Lions passing attack stifled. Goff has a much easier matchup against the Giants this week.

Tier 3: High-End QB2s

Rank Player Opponent
11 Sam Darnold Tennessee Titans
12 Jacoby Brissett Jacksonville Jaguars
13 Brock Purdy Carolina Panthers
14 Aaron Rodgers* Chicago Bears
15 Daniel Jones Kansas City Chiefs

This tier consists of the high-end QB2s:

  • Darnold has had two terrible games in a row and three out of four for fantasy purposes. He threw for four interceptions in the loss to the Rams. He has failed to top five fantasy points in two straight weeks. Darnold should get back on track against the Titans this week.
  • Brissett set an NFL record with 47 completions. He had 57 passing attempts, 452 yards, two touchdown passes, and two interceptions. He finished with 21.88 fantasy points, good for a top-five finish on the week. Murray will still be out for the foreseeable future, so Brissett will get the start against an up-and-down Jaguars defense.
  • Rodgers is feared to have a slight break in his non-throwing hand wrist, putting his availability for the game in Chicago at risk. Of course, Rodgers owns the Bears, so he would love to go into Chicago and win one more time.

Tier 4: Superflex Options Only

Rank Player Opponent
16 Caleb Williams Pittsburgh Steelers
17 Bryce Young* San Francisco 49ers
18 Joe Flacco New England Patriots
19 Jordan Love Minnesota Vikings
20 Trevor Lawrence Arizona Cardinals

These players are options only in very deep leagues or SuperFlex leagues:

  • Young had his second-highest fantasy scoring day in his career, scoring 31.82 fantasy points. He completed 31 of 45 passes for 448 yards and three touchdown passes in the Panthers victory over the Falcons. He dealt with an ankle injury, but did not miss a snap. We will see if he recovers well during the week, and he has an extra day to heal with a Monday Night Football game against the 49ers in Week 12.
  • Love battled through a shoulder injury to his non-throwing arm, but he came back in and led the Packers to victory. He has not topped 20 fantasy points in three straight weeks and five out of six. Love is only an option in Superflex or 2QB leagues.
