Week 6 of the NFL Season is in the books. It is time to look ahead to Week 7. Here are the Week 7 quarterback rankings for fantasy football. Bye weeks are here, with Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson all out for Week 7. Kyler Murray and Brock Purdy are questionable this week with injuries.

Quarterback Rankings Week 7 Fantasy Football

Tier 1: The Big 3

Rank Player Opponent
1 Jayden Daniels Dallas Cowboys
2 Patrick Mahomes Las Vegas Raiders
3 Jalen Hurts Minnesota Vikings

This top tier of quarterbacks is the best of the best in fantasy football, but is missing Jackson and Allen from this tier this week:

  • Mahomes has returned to being great in fantasy football. After two mid-years to his standards, Mahomes is now the overall QB1 in fantasy through six weeks. He has scored at least 22 fantasy points in five of six games. The Chiefs defense is not as great as it was in the past two seasons, forcing Mahomes to throw more. With Rashee Rice coming back next week, look for the offense to get even better.

Tier 2: Low-End QB1s

Rank Player Opponent
4 Drake Maye Tennessee Titans
5 Baker Mayfield Detroit Lions
6 Jared Goff Tampa Bay Buccaneers
7 Jaxson Dart Denver Broncos
8 Dak Prescott Washington Commanders
9 Daniel Jones Los Angeles Chargers
10 Justin Herbert Indianapolis Colts

These guys are low-end QB1s, and I feel comfortable starting any of them as my QB1 this week:

  • The sophomore surge is here for Maye. He has four top ten finishes on the year and was the QB2 in Week 6, scoring over 27 fantasy points. He gets a great matchup against the Titans in Week 7, as he ranks inside the top five of the quarterback rankings.
  • Mayfield and Goff will battle it out on Monday Night Football in a battle between two early MVP candidates.
  • Dart had his best fantasy performance in three starts, finishing as a top-five quarterback. He has a tough matchup against the Broncos, but his rushing upside keeps him in the top ten.

Tier 3: High-End QB2s

Rank Player Opponent
11 Justin Fields Carolina Panthers
12 Caleb Williams New Orleans Saints
13 Jordan Love Arizona Cardinals
14 Sam Darnold Houston Texans
15 Trevor Lawrence Los Angeles Rams

This tier consists of the high-end QB2:

  • Fields and the Jets had one of the worst passing days ever in London against the Broncos in Week 6. Fields returns to the States to take on the Panthers, who are surprisingly 3-3. Fields has had three top-seven fantasy finishes in the four full weeks he has played this year. Look for Fields to get back on track.

Tier 4: Superflex Options Only

Rank Player Opponent
16 Matthew Stafford Jacksonville Jaguars
17 Bo Nix New York Giants
18 Kyler Murray* Green Bay Packers
19 Brock Purdy* Atlanta Falcons
20 Michael Penix Jr. San Francisco 49ers

These players are options only in very deep leagues or SuperFlex leagues:

  • Murray missed the Week 6 game against the Colts, and the Cardinals’ offense looked the best it has been all year with Jacoby Brissett as quarterback. Murray’s high in fantasy points on the season was 18.32. Brissett put up 20.7 points on his way to a top-ten fantasy finish. The Cardinals should be in no rush to bring Murray back, especially with a tough matchup against the Packers coming up this week. Brissett will be a viable streaming option if Murray can’t go.
