Last week, we went a perfect 6-0 on our Six-Pack of NFL plays. Yes, our first sweep of the season!
That brings our season total to 44-34. Let's keep the momentum rolling into a fresh six pack of plays. Given the nature of this NFL weekend, we will be touching a few Saturday looks as well.
When you think Pittsburgh has started to figure it out and is in a great spot to back, they fold. When it's time to give up on the Steelers and fade them, they break your heart. When will we learn? Why not today?
Pittsburgh and Indianapolis are both fighting for a playoff spot, and while we prefer the Colts as a whole, their run defense is growing into a serious problem. That's music to Pittsburgh's ears, deploying Mitchell Trubisky at quarterback. Expect a heavy dosage of Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren and a Pittsburgh win on the road.
Lion running wild: Jahmyr Gibbs over 14.5 longest rush (-105 BetMGM)
Week after week, rookie running back Jahmyr Gibbs breaks off a big play on the ground. He's over this longest rush line in six of his past seven, with seven runs of 20+ yards in that span.
Now he gets a Denver defense allowing the fifth-most explosive runs this season. Need we really say more?
Mahomes's circle is a good place to be: Rashee Rice over 5.5 receptions (+110 ESPN)
It seems more and more, Patrick Mahomes is plagued by mistakes from his wide receivers. That makes Rashee Rice oh so valuable right now; he's gaining Mahomes's trust and the volume that comes with it.
Over the last three games, Rice has 10, nine and 10 targets, catching 7+ passes in all three games. Now he sees a New England defense allowing the ninth-most receptions per game to WRs, he should be able to keep this rolling.
The more and more we think about this Bears-Browns game, the more we actually not only want to bet on Chicago to win, but also to make the playoffs.
That might sound a bit outrageous, so we'll calm ourselves down and simply bet them to keep this one within a field goal. Cleveland is down two key defenders this week, and while Joe Flacco has been solid to start, it's unwise to simply accept that as what is to come for the rest of this season. Chicago's defense has been downright dominant of late, and the Bears have won three of their past four games, with a late collapse against Detroit the only thing keeping them from a four-game winning streak.
We like Justin Fields to keep making plays on Sunday.
This is as simple as they come. The Carolina Panthers are allowing the most touchdowns per game to running backs, only twice this season failing to see a RB score against them. Bijan Robinson is finally starting to see a featured role here for the Falcons, scoring four touchdowns over the past four games. That should continue here in a big divisional matchup.
Commanding our bets: Rams -6.5 (-112 DK)
The only certainty about the Washington Commanders at this stage is that we are going to fade them into oblivion. This secondary is atrocious. They are allowing the most yards per pass attempt, the most passing yards per game and the third-most passes of 20+ yards.
Matthew Stafford and the Rams are starting to figure things out, and they played Baltimore extremely tough last week. Expect a big outing from the Los Angeles QB as they cruise to a 7-point win to advance to 7-7.
