The Washington Football Team offense will get a boost this weekend from a player making his season debut.
Washington head coach Ron Rivera told reporters Friday that receiver Curtis Samuel will be activated off injured reserve to play in Sunday's Week 4 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.

Samuel has been dealing with a nagging groin injury dating back to May's offseason work. He practiced all three days this week and didn't suffer any setbacks.
The 25-year-old signed a three-year contract with Washington as a free agent this past offseason after four seasons with the Carolina Panthers. In 15 games last season, he recorded 77 catches for 851 yards and three touchdowns.
Samuel's arrival should help the Washington offense as a whole, from taking pressure off Terry McLaurin to reducing the responsibilities of Dyami Brown and Cam Sims. While it's unclear how much Samuel will play on Sunday, it's still a good sign for Washington that he's healthy enough to give things a whirl.
The Football Team is 1-2 on the season, tied for second in the NFC East with the Philadelphia Eagles. A win against the Falcons would keep them in good standing in the division.
