What's Jets' Aaron Rodgers Want Next? Time

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers is finally in a groove on offense, but it's taken nearly all season for the unit to begin functioning the way it should have back in Week 1.

Sitting at 4-10 and with the pressure valve released, one could argue that the past two games have been Rodgers' best games of 2024. He's thrown for a combined 628 yards, four touchdowns, and no interceptions while having passer ratings above 104.5 and 120.0.

We are getting to the stage in the year when players begin thinking about next season. Given that Rodgers, after a bumpy start to the year, is finally looking like some resemblance to his former self, does that play a part in his thought process for playing in 2025?

"Not really, no," Rodgers said. "I'm going to take some time after the year, unless you know I get released right away, but I'll still take some time whether or not I want to play, but I'll take some time get away from it either way."

That has seemed to be the common avenue for Rodgers over the last few seasons, he takes stock of the year that was and gives real thought to whether he wants to play again.

So, as he stated, unless the Jets release him, he will take time to think about his future, but the question is, have the franchise and fan base seen what Rodgers has done these last few weeks and are now maybe thinking of running it back?

Possibly, but the season as a whole has been a disaster, and we aren't sure two good games papers over those cracks.

It once again looms as a big offseason in New York.
