What’s Josh Allen Saying About Patrick Mahomes?

Buffalo Bills starting quarterback Josh Allen has had his fill of Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.

While the Bills' franchise quarterback has enjoyed unprecedented levels of success over the last few years, the team hasn't been able to get past the hurdle that is Mahomes and the two-time defending Super Bowl champs.

It's why when asked about their upcoming matchup on Sunday against the Chiefs team that is currently undefeated, Allen didn't put too much stock in the game ahead.

“I know we haven’t beaten them in the playoffs” Allen said. “That’s the only thing that kind of matters...We all know what type of player he is when he’s on the field. He’s one of the great ones."

Allen's comments are clear.

Buffalo has actually won several matchups against Kansas City over the last few seasons. None of them have been in the playoffs.

That isn't Allen's fault, either.

The former Wyoming star has recorded nine touchdowns to just two interceptions in his career against the Chiefs. His 58.2% completion percentage isn't nearly the elite number he has had otherwise, the Bills know that he's the reason the team is in a lot of these games.

And why the team has a chance to knock Kansas City off the realm of the unbeaten on Sunday.

Even if it doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things for either side just yet.
