Drew Brees never shies away from his passion for the New Orleans Saints. The long-time star quarterback will return to the commentating booth this season, but he is already firing off some hot takes - including one about the Saints' chances to take back the division from a rival foe.
The legendary Saints quarterback is not shying away from his belief in New Orleans this season. Kellen Moore's first year could be a surprise success, according to Brees. In a recent interview with Kay Adams, Brees motioned that the NFC South is wide open, and the Saints can go and take it.
"Really, who scares you? I think the division is wide open."

Fans of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers may scoff at this premise from Brees. The Bucs have controlled the South in recent seasons, but defensive questions and potential offensive regression without now former OC Liam Coen are certainly fair pieces to consider when it comes to their overall upside.
Atlanta is widely looked at as the potential team to steal the crown from Tampa. Michael Penix Jr. has created plenty of buzz with some strong weapons, like Bijan Robinson and Drake London. The pass rush should also be better for ATL after they addressed it aggressively in this year's NFL Draft. The Falcons did lose top offensive tackle Kaleb McGary for the season due to injury already, though.
"I think we're poised and ready to make a statement in the NFC South this year."

You can tell that Brees retains plenty of hope in his Saints, even if they don't have many believers around the NFL world for this season. With uncertainty at QB and some depth questions around the roster, it will be an uphill climb for Kellen Moore's squad.
Regardless, the young head coach and offensive play caller has one franchise legend and future NFL Hall of Famer in his corner for this year.
