The San Francisco 49ers held on to their undefeated 6-0 record with a 23-17 Week 6 win over the Washington Commanders. While it was a big win for the franchise, linebacker Fred Warner left that contest with not one, but two separate fines.
Warner was fined a total of $65,673, according to Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network. The 29-year-old was fined $17,911 for a hit on Commanders tight end Chig Okonkwo that led to a flag being thrown that was eventually picked up. Later in the game, Warner was fined another $47,762 for using his helmet on another hit on Okonkwo.

Those are Warner’s third and fourth fines of the 2026-27 campaign, bringing his fine total to approximately $107,466 for the season. The nine-year veteran was given two fines in the 49ers’ 36-30 Week 3 win over the Arizona Cardinals. One for using his helmet, and one for a hip-drop tackle on Cardinals tight end Trey McBride.
Throughout his career, the four-time Pro Bowler has now totaled about $170,857 worth of fines, per Spotrac. He had accumulated about $105,184 in fines before the Week 6 win over the Commanders.
Fred Warner enters Week 7 against the Atlanta Falcons, having played all six contests so far this year. He’s been stellar for San Francisco, recording 58 combined tackles (27 solo), 0.5 sacks, and three forced fumbles (league-high).
