Key Points:
When NFL fans tuned into the Sunday Night Football clash between the Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys, many found themselves enamored with one particular player on the Packers.
While the biggest storyline before the game was the Packers' newly acquired All-Pro linebacker Micah Parsons ' return to Dallas after being traded from the team in August, social media found themselves perplexed by Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs.
The fourth-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft out of Nevada isn't a star by any means, but is a solid receiver for Green Bay. On Sunday night, he was the talk of the town on social media, as he had a stellar night in the contest that needed overtime to decide a winner, racking up a career-high three touchdowns.
However, fans weren't necessarily enamored by his play, but more so the size of his helmet, which looks abnormally large.

Although it may look odd, Doubs is wearing what is known as a "Guardian Cap." It is a soft-shelled cover that goes over the regular helmet and is meant to reduce concussions and head injuries. The NFL authorized its use in games for the first time last season.
Doubs, 25, suffered a concussion last season that kept him out for two weeks, and has since decided to wear the extra protection.
An ESPN report from last year shared data revealing that the NFL saw a 50% decrease in concussions in training camps in 2022-23 among position groups that the league required to wear the Guardian Cap.
As for Doubs, he had a blunt answer about why he wore it in 2024, saying, “Better safe than sorry."
As for Sunday night's game, it ended up going into overtime and finishing in a 40-40 tie. The Packers (2-1-1) will have some extra time to reflect on the result, as they have a bye next week, while the Cowboys will face the New York Jets (0-3).
