The NFL has wrapped up week four. Some players have come back from injury and others have sustained injuries. You might have to hit the waiver wire for wide receivers in week five depending on your fantasy team injuries. Bye weeks are also coming up in week five so adjustments will be necessary to make on the roster. Teams such as the Chargers, Titans, Lions and Eagles are on bye weeks for week five. This is a list of the top three wide receivers that will be available this week for week five.

Wide Receivers Week Five Waiver Wire

Dontayvian Wicks, WR, (GB)

Wicks is 13% rostered in fantasy leagues this week. Now that Christian Watson has suffered a high ankle sprain, Wicks will be available to help for the upcoming weeks. Dontayvain Wicks did not have the greatest of games this week against the Vikings he had some drop passes but he still ended up doing well. Wicks was targeted 13 times but only caught five targets which included a pair of touchdowns. For the season, Wicks has 22 targets, eight receptions, 104 yards and three touchdowns.

Xavier Legette, WR, (CAR)

Now that QB Andy Dalton has taken over at quarterback for the Caroline Panthers, it has been a completely different offense. Legette is a first round rookie this year and he scored his first touchdown in the NFL this week. Legette is 14% rostered in leagues. Since wide receiver Adam Thielen will be out for multiple weeks with a hamstring injury, look for Legette to be more involved in the Panthers offense. Legette has 6 receptions, 66 yards and a touchdown.

Wan’Dale Robinson, WR (NYG)

QB Daniel Jones has found a wide receiver with whom he has been comfortable over the last two weeks. Robinson has been Jones’s man on third-down situations. Robinson has been heavily involved in the Giants offense this past Thursday against the Dallas Cowboys. He had 11 targets and 71 yards. He has been averaging 9.5 targets a game, 18 passes, and 132 yards over two weeks.

On the season Robinson has 38 targets, 26 receptions, 194 yards and one touchdown. Despite only having one touchdown on the season, the Giants are looking to improve in the red zone. They only scored field goals against Dallas and ended up losing the game. However, Robinson is on top of the waiver wire lists with 26% rostered across fantasy leagues.

Final Thoughts

Now that the bye weeks are starting in the NFL for week five it is crucial to have your fantasy lineup up to date and knowing which players are on a bye week. These wide receivers can help any PPR or non-PPR league while a player is on a bye week for the week or if a player has sustained an injury and will be out for multiple weeks. These receivers mentioned are on the top of the waiver wire lists this week. If added to the fantasy roster start for the flex position in all PPR leagues.
