'You shouldn't be in the NFL getting paid' - Former Vols QB Joe Milton goes viral after 'clearing the air' about his rocket arm

When fans and media talk about Dallas Cowboys quarterback Joe Milton, the first thing they usually mention is the former Tennessee Vols standout's rocket arm.

Milton, though, doesn't understand why everyone says he throws the ball so hard.

The Florida native spoke to reporters on Wednesday evening and he decided to "clear the air" about his arm.

"Let's clear the air," said Milton. "I don't understand when people say [that] I throw the ball so hard. Like, I'm literally not throwing the ball hard. It just comes off my hand like that. I was born and blessed that way. So I feel like if you think I'm throwing the ball hard, then you shouldn't be in the NFL getting paid.

"There are some times where it's like, 'Oh, it's not necessary'. There's, like, one or two [times] a game (that it's not necessary). But other than that, man, I'm not throwing the ball hard -- it just comes off my hand like that. I was born and blessed that way. So I appreciate God for that."

I definitely understand what Milton is saying -- he's just the throwing the ball the way that's natural for him. It's not like he's trying to throw it as hard as he can on every throw. But at the same time, there have been times where it certainly seemed like he could've used a bit more "touch" on some throws.

Milton, by the way, made a heck of a play during "Cowboys Night" on Wednesday.

Those are the kinds of plays that show Milton's elite playmaking ability. His biggest problem has been consistency. If he can find a way to be consistent, then he'll find playing time in the NFL.
