Zach Sieler Caps Off 2025 Season with Impressive Accomplishment

Tackles for loss are one of the most impactful defensive plays in all of football. They can single-handedly strip away momentum from an offensive attack that’s clicking and change the trajectory of a possession. Fortunately, the Miami Dolphins are lucky enough to employ a defensive tackle that’s been one of the league’s most consistent threats to rack up tackles for loss in recent years — Zach Sieler.

Sieler picked up one tackle for loss in the final contest of Miami’s 17-game slate on Sunday, and that allowed him to finish with 10 of such tackles on the 2025 season. He capped off his campaign by reaching double digits in that stat for the third season in a row. Of all of the NFL’s great defensive players, Jeffery Simmons of the Tennessee Titans is the only other player in the league who’s accumulated double digits in tackles for loss in every one of the last three campaigns.

However, Sieler made his presence felt beyond the fact that he made the New England Patriots lose yardage on a play with a tackle. In fact, he blocked a field-goal attempt from kicker Andres Borregales in the second quarter of the contest and helped Miami’s defense limit New England to a scoreless quarter.

All season long, he was a steadying presence for a Dolphins defensive unit that went through plenty of peaks and valleys over the course of the team’s 17-game slate. He totaled 47 combined tackles, 29 solo tackles, 18 assisted tackles, nine quarterback hits, and 5.5 sacks along with his tackles for loss.

Thankfully, Sieler is under contract for the long haul as well, and it doesn’t seem like fans of the team need to worry about him departing anytime soon. His current deal spans through the 2029 season, and after that he is set to hit unrestricted free agency.
