There hasn't been a whole lot of good news for the Philadelphia Flyers to start the 2026-27 National Hockey League (NHL) season, but perhaps their fortune may be changing for the month of November. The Flyers have only won three of their first 15 games, which isn't a good start by any means.

Part of their downfall has been several players going down with injury, which has been unfortunate for Philadelphia. They played their last game of October on the 28th, when they faced off against the Washington Capitals. While they don't play again until Nov. 1, there is still work to be done.

The Flyers participated in practice on Friday, Oct. 30. It might have been the day before Halloween, but there were no tricks here, only treats. Flyers journalist Jordan Hall shared a video on social media, in which both Travis Konecny and Owen Tippett were participants in practice.

Flyers could get Konecny & Tippett back soon

Konecny last played on Oct. 8, when the Flyers took on the Ottawa Senators. He has only played in five games this season and has recorded three assists. He has been a prime part of the Flyers' offense in the past, a part of the game they have been seriously lacking in to start the season.

Konecny was in a non-contact jersey, but since he was back on the ice with the Flyers, this is a good sign he could be returning to the lineup soon.

Tippett has also been out for the past six games, since the Flyers took on the Detroit Red Wings on Oct. 15. He played in nine games to start the season and recorded two points, scoring one goal and notching one assist.

Tippett is another prime member of the Flyers' top six. With both Tippett and Konency out of the lineup, the Flyers' lineup has been all over the place. With the promise and potential of Tippett and Konecny returning to the lineup sooner rather than later, this is a good sign for the state of the Flyers' top six. With the veteran presence solidifying the top six soon, maybe the Flyers can get back into the win column again.
