4 Players to Watch in Lightning Prospect Showcase Games

He produced at a strong rate regardless of the uniform he wore. Here’s the breakdown of points per game when he was with the Kitchener Rangers, London Knights and Team Canada at the World Juniors:

• Kitchener: 1.0 per game
• London: 1.53 per game
• Canada: 1.14 per game

There should be some high expectations for how he goes about his business against fellow prospects. His time at the World Juniors showed he could hold his own when the talent is just junior players. However, this should still provide another test to gauge before he sees action in the preseason.

Entering this season, the Lightning lack some center depth. If O’Reilly can stand out, especially if he’s winning faceoffs, he could make a case to provide depth.

Dylan Duke, Forward

Is this going to be the season that Dylan Duke finally establishes himself on the NHL roster? He’s made it to the league, but he’s only played three career games. The 23-year-old isn’t necessarily low on time, but you start to wonder if and when his time will arrive.

To his credit, he’s coming off a career season with the Syracuse Crunch. He posted a career-high 32 goals, as well as a career-high 59 points. In the Calder Cup Playoffs, he had two points, a goal and an assist, in four games against the Cleveland Monsters. His efforts earned him the team award for Offensive Player of the Year.

Along with the prospect showcase, he’ll get action in the preseason. This is just the first step.

Harrison Meneghin, Goalie

I have to cover somebody who isn’t a forward. I’m rolling with the goalie the Lightning took in the seventh round back in 2025, who will make his second appearance in the showcase.

Harrison Meneghin’s first professional season was one of growing pains. He played in 14 games for the Orlando Solar Bears, posting an .889 save percentage and a 3.29 goals-against average.

In that sample size, he had four games in which he made at least 30 saves and picked up a shutout against the Jacksonville Icemen on Nov. 13, 2025. Back in juniors, he helped lead the Medicine Hat Tigers to an appearance in the Memorial Cup Final. It can be expected that he will start to get a better handle on the next level in due time, even as a late-round pick.

Other prospects could be the ones who steal the show in the end. However, this should provide at least a starting point for when you check in for these games. Their first game will take place on Monday at 2 p.m., when they face the Predators prospects.
