The Philadelphia Flyers cut their roster to 42 players at training camp. The Flyers assigned nine players to the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, including seven forwards and two goalies. The forwards are Massimo Rizzo, Tucker Robertson, Samu Tuomaala, Sawyer Boulton, Cooper Marody, Garrett Wilson, and Zayde Wisdom. The two goalies are Yaniv Perets and Keith Petruzzelli. They also placed Oscar Eklind on waivers, hoping he clears so they can assign him to the Phantoms.

Rizzo last season played in 46 games for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, recording 18 points on six goals and 12 assists. He was a plus-one with a power-play goal and ten penalty minutes.
Robertson last season played in 38 games for the Coachella Valley Firebirds. He had nine points on four goals and five assists. Robertson was a minus-five with 13 penalty minutes. He went pointless in three playoff games.
Tuomaala last season in 46 games for the Phantoms had 32 points on 11 goals and 21 assists. He was a -19 with three power-play goals, two game-winning goals, and 30 penalty minutes.
Boulton played in 18 games for Lehigh Valley. He scored one goal and was a minus-three with 51 penalty minutes. He also played for the Reading Royals in the AHL. In 13 games, he scored one goal, finishing as a plus-three with 51 penalty minutes.
Marody played in six games for the Phantoms; he scored a goal and was a minus-four with a power-play goal and two penalty minutes.
Wilson played in 63 games for Lehigh Valley. He had 28 points on 14 goals and 14 assists. He was a plus-three with a power-play goal, two shorthanded goals, a game-winning goal, and 134 penalty minutes. In seven playoff games, he had two points on a goal and an assist. He was even in plus/minus with a power-play goal and 29 penalty minutes.
Wisdom played in 68 games for the Phantoms, had 32 points on 13 goals and 19 assists. He posted a plus-ten rating with two shorthanded goals, three game-winning goals, and 44 penalty minutes. In seven playoff games, he had four points on three goals and an assist. He recorded a plus-five rating with two shorthanded goals, a game-winning goal, and four penalty minutes.
Perets played in one game for the Carolina Hurricanes last season, stopping six of the seven shots he faced. In four games for the Chicago Wolves, he went 1-2-1 with a 3.93 goals-against average and an .846 save percentage. In 27 games for the Bloomington Bison in the ECHL, he went 12-12-1 with a 2.59 goals-against average, a .921 save percentage, and three shutouts.
Petruzzelli played in six games for the Phantoms, going 3-3-0 with a 3.21 goals-against average and a .887 save percentage. In 34 games for the Royals, he went 14-16-4 with a 3.12 goals-against average and a .901 save percentage. In three Kelly Cup Playoff games, he went 0-3-0 with a 3.43 goals-against average and a .906 save percentage.
