The Ontario Reign lost forward Charles Hudon and defenseman Joseph Cecconi today and then went out and signed John Parker-Jones. He appeared in one game for the Reign last season and didn’t record a point. Parker-Jones was a minus-one. He went on to play in 50 games for the Greenville Swamp Rabbits in the ECHL. Parker-Jones had 27 points on ten goals and 17 assists. He was a -17 with three power-play goals and 76 penalty minutes.

Parker-Jones spent three seasons with the Peterborough Petes in the Ontario Hockey League. In 141 games, he had 26 points on 12 goals and 14 assists. He was a minus-six with 121 penalty minutes. He then played for the University of Windsor in USports. In 15 games, he had seven points on two goals and five assists. He had 25 penalty minutes. Parker-Jones then joined the Laval Rocket, playing in 20 games. He had three points on two goals and an assist. He was a minus-three with a power-play goal and 34 penalty minutes. Parker-Jones also played in 17 games with the Trois-Rivières Lions. He had 11 points on seven goals and four assists. He was a minus-one with five power-play goals, two game-winning goals, and 20 penalty minutes. In 2023-24, he played in two games for the Rocket and didn’t record a point, and was a minus-one. In 55 games with the Lions, he had 15 points on eight goals and seven assists. He was a -13 with three power-play goals, two game-winning goals, and 90 penalty minutes.
