The Utica Comets have recalled forward Josh Filmon and Tag Bertuzzi from the Adirondack Thunder . This comes after Xavier Parent got called up to the New Jersey Devils , and Mike Hardman left yesterday’s game early.

Bertuzzi, 24, was starting to find his game as he had two goals and three assists for five points in his last five games with Adirondack, after failing to find the scoresheet in his first two games with the Thunder this season. He has played in four games this season with the Comets, but has failed to find the scoresheet.
The Vancouver, BC, native is coming off an injury-shortened season in which he played in 17 games, 11 of which were with the Thunder, where he had five goals and five assists for 10 points. He also saw action in six games with Utica.
Filmon, 21, picked up his first goal of the season in last night’s game vs Worcester Railers. In 11 games this season with Adirondack, he has a goal and two assists. He has played in four games with Utica this season, but like Bertuzzi, has yet to find the scoresheet.
In his first full professional season, Filmon had 20 goals and 16 assists for 36 points in 65 games with the Thunder. He would lead the team in goals. The Winnipeg, Manitoba, native has one goal in 20 career games with the Comets.
These are two big losses for the Thunder, who are getting ready to face the ECHL’s best team, the Wheeling Nailers, for two games this weekend. Bertuzzi was playing top-line minutes during his time in Glens Falls, and Filmon was providing some nice depth as a third-line winger. I would expect Adirondack to add another body before the puck drops on Friday Night.
