Aleksander Barkov has been a huge part of the Florida Panthers' superteam over the past few years and as captain, he has been looking to lead this team to a second Stanley Cup.

Tonight, the Panthers took on the Ottawa Senators in Ottawa. It was a big night for the Senators who were playing Linus Ullmark for the first time. There were lots of expectations and in the end, Ullmark was able to live up to them. The Senators won the game by a score of 3-1, however, disaster struck in regards to Barkov.

At the end of the game, the Panthers pulled their goalie. That is when Barkov and Stutzle chased after a loose puck that was going toward the empty net. Stutzle won the race and scored by Barkov fell over and went feet first into the board. It was a scary scene that ended with Barkov having to get carried off of the ice.

After the game, Paul Marice of the Panthers did not have an update on his captain. Overall, this was certainly among one of the many worst-case scenarios for this game. Hopefully, Barkov is okay and doesn't have to miss much time. However, we're sure Panthers fans are feeling worried right now.

This is going to be an interesting season for both of these teams. The Panthers want to defend their crown. Meanwhile, the Senators are a team that some analysts believe can actually make the playoffs.
