The celebration is on for Alex Ovechkin. After breaking Wayne Gretzky's all-time NHL goals scored record on Sunday afternoon, Ovechkin has gotten an epic party under way. The question is, how and where would "Ovi" celebrate his historic accomplishment?
The answer has been revealed by one reporter, who appears to have captured Ovechkin's epic party entrance on camera, at the previously undisclosed location.
Following Ovechkin's record-breaking performance, when he scored goal No. 895 for the Washington Capitals against the New York Islanders on Sunday, the game was stopped and Ovechkin was able to celebrate this historic moment on the ice with his family.
But Sunday night, has brought Ovechkin and his family back to Washington D.C., and he has most certainly brought the party with them.
CBS Sports reporter, Jordan Giorgio, appears to have been on site, as Ovechkin and his family (his wife, children, and mother) entered Balos Estiatorio, a Mediterranean restaurant, just North of The White House in Washington D.C.
Giorgio captured the entrance and posted it to her official X account.

Ovechkin can be seen dancing his way through the door behind his wife, accompanied by his children and mother. Ovechkin is instantly handed two beers, his wife a glass of what appears to be wine, and the couple immediately start dancing to the rhythmic music in the background.
As Giorgio eludes to in her post on X, this appears to be the first stop of many for Ovechkin and his family on Sunday night (Monday morning). Ovechkin has been known to celebrate in epic fashion. His appearance and speech at the Capitals lone Stanley Cup parade in 2018 went viral and has been rewatched for nearly a decade.
In the world of camera phones and social media, it's possible Ovechkin's future locations, and celebrations, will be revealed to the world before the party is over.
