One of the highlights at the start of Monday's game between the Montreal Canadiens and Buffalo Sabres was the altercation between Arber Xhekaj and Jordan Greenway.
Last Saturday, Greenway collided with Canadiens rookie goalie Jakub Dobes, and on Monday night, Xhekaj made sure to send him a message.
However, Greenway was literally backing away from him and wanted nothing to do with facing the music against the Sheriff.
In his postgame news conference, Xhekaj had this to say:
"You're going to get in my goalie's face, you're going to give him a shot, you better expect something the next game. When I asked him, he looked at me like I had three heads. Like, are you serious right now?"
You can't say he didn't try, that's for sure!
Greenway didn't exactly look like the bravest player in the world in this situation, to put it mildly.
Let's not forget that RDS analyst Marc Denis, who is positioned right between the benches of both teams, reported that Xhekaj invited Greenway to fight multiple times, but to no avail.
