Avalanche sign Ronnie Attard to one-year, two-way contract

Attard, 26, spent the 2024-25 season with the AHL’s Bakersfield Condors and Lehigh Valley Phantoms, scoring seven goals and 10 assists for 17 points in 66 regular-season games. Through three AHL campaigns, Attard has 29 goals and 47 assists for 76 points in 182 career AHL games with the Phantoms and Condors. He has also scored two goals and four assists for six points in 29 career NHL regular-season games with the Philadelphia Flyers.

Attard was selected by the Flyers in the third round of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. A native of White Lake, Mich., he scored 27 goals and 45 assists for 72 points in 94 NCAA college hockey games through three seasons with Western Michigan.

Before enrolling in college, Attard spent three seasons with the USHL’s Tri-City Storm, scoring 41 goals and 44 assists for 85 points and 219 penalty minutes in 144 career regular-season games.

The Avalanche finished the 2024-25 season with a 49-29-4 record and 102 points, third in the Central Division. They were eliminated in five games by the Dallas Stars in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Forward Nathan MacKinnon scored 32 goals and 84 assists for 116 points, leading the team in all offensive categories. Defenseman Cale Makar hit career highs in goals (30) and points (82) to go with his 62 assists.
