Kirill Kaprizov is certainly one of the NHL’s best forwards, and there’s a lot of talk about his next contract as he nears the end of his final year at $9 million per season. Earlier today, it was reported that the Russian star was reportedly eyeing no less than $128 million on an eight-year contract, or $16 million per season. And just recently, Minnesota Wild GM Bill Guerin was interviewed by 10,000 Takes and the subject of this contract offer was discussed. According to Guerin, he has no idea where this information came from, adding that it didn’t come from either their camp or Kaprizov’s camp.

[content-ads]Seeing that Kaprizov would have turned down an offer of $16M per season for eight years, which would have made him the highest paid hockey player on the planet, it made no sense in my book.

Bill Guerin
It’s hard not to side with Guerin on this one, since not only is he in the best position to deny this rumor, but the rumor itself simply didn’t make sense. The Wild will do anything to retain the services of #97. He is the face of the club, after all. spacer title=’En rafale’] – At the 13-minute mark, there are some interesting (and encouraging) comments regarding Filip Mesar.

If Montreal’s U-23 talent – Bolduc, Demidov, Slaf, Hutson, Kapanen and Reinbacher take jumps in their development this season, the Habs are in the mix to be second in the Atlantic Division. #GoHabsGoFull podcast: https://t.co/dOzuyPwk04 pic.twitter.com/aauknRDwRB
